
On January 22, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) commanders held a critical sector-level coordination meeting in the vicinity of the international border in Meghalaya, indicating a reaffirmed dedication to regional stability.
BSF’s Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG Sector HQ Shillong, and BGB’s Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Deputy Director General from Sylhet, convened for the purpose of resolving intricate border management challenges.
The Coordinated Border Management Plan was the focal point of diplomatic discussions, which aimed to develop strategies to improve bilateral security cooperation and preserve regional tranquility. Both commanders exhibited a common vision of resolving cross-border issues through mutual understanding and dialogue.
The engagement underscores the increasing trust between India and Bangladesh, indicating a substantial stride toward sustainable regional security. Commanders consented to conduct routine coordination meetings, thereby reaffirming their dedication to collaborative relations and tranquil border management.
