The celebration, organized by the Khiamniungan Tribal Council and supported by the state government, honours the Nagas’ rich cultural heritage and traditions.
Rio emphasized how festivals like Khaozaosie Hok-Ah serve as a reminder of long-standing customs as well as a forum for promoting social harmony. He encouraged the youth to take pride in their background and actively maintain the cultural tradition passed down from their forefathers.
Rio also underlined the importance of future generations in preserving the Naga identity and traditions.
Rio called for inclusive and responsible celebrations, reaffirming his commitment to establishing a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, which he believes is critical to Nagaland’s future and success.
He urged the inhabitants of Noklak, a frontier area on the international border, to emphasize peace and harmony as the cornerstone for development and to contribute to the state’s overall progress.
During the occasion, Rio opened handcraft kiosks and inspected cultural troupes, demonstrating the region’s cultural vibrancy. The celebration emphasized the shared values that unite Nagaland’s different people, as well as the significance of conserving and appreciating the state’s distinct cultural identity.
