On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Ride with Pride Vol – III bike rally was effectively organized by the Friends on Wheels Motorcycle Club Nagaland in partnership with the 9 Assam Rifles Jalukie.
The historic gathering was made possible by the unprecedented participation of 123 riders from a variety of organizations in Nagaland and Karbi Anglong. The rally’s objective was to unify all riding organizations under a single platform, thereby celebrating the spirit of patriotism and increasing awareness of the critical issue of “Say No to Drugs.”
The following organizations participated: EIMI Riders Nagaland, RE Brothers, United Riders MC, United Royal Riders MC, Flying Falcons MC, The C.R.E.W, Eastern Enfieldrs MC, Karbi Anglong, The Tribe, Tribal MC, and Solo Riders.
Brig Shiva Kant Shukla, DIG, HQ 6 SECTOR AR, was the principal guest at the rally, which was supported by JCI Dimapur Creator. Abhijeet Bharadwaj, the president of Friends On Wheels, extended a cordial welcome to him, and Bikram Das, the advisor of Friends On Wheels, bestowed him with accolades. Brig Shukla officially initiated the rally at 7:20 AM, which marked the commencement of an unforgettable journey.
The riders commenced their voyage at City Tower in Dimapur and proceeded to 9 Assam Rifles Jalukie. There, they were welcomed by the local public, NCC Cadets, and Assam Rifles Jawans. At Jalukie, the National Flag was unfurled, and Col. Mohit Bansal, Comdt. 9 Assam Rifle, delivered a greeting speech.. Additionally, a patriotic band performance was included in the event, which established an appropriate atmosphere for the occasion.
The riders were entertained by a variety of thrilling activities, such as tug of war, slow races, and competitions for the fittest riders. The victors were awarded prizes, which infused the event with a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment.
The rally’s primary objective was to motivate young people to abstain from drugs, while also underscoring the numerous opportunities that life has to offer. The riders ensured that the message of optimism and positivity was disseminated, motivating the local communities to prioritize health, fitness, and overall well-being.
This occasion was not only a commemoration of Republic Day, but also a potent statement against the escalating drug epidemic, with a strong appeal for unity and support within the riding community.
